Most lenders, loan brokers, banks, or other lending consultants start with a business owner by taking them one of two directions, (1) either by asking what type of loan they need, or (2) asking what they need the money for, and how much money they need.

We feel this process is pathetic and entirely ineffective. In scenario 1 the assumption is made that the business owner has extensive knowledge of the vast range of commercial lending products available to him/her, and in scenario 2 the assumption is made that the “expert” working with the business owner is void of self interest, void of the selfish interests of the lending institution, and that the person actually knows the vast range of commercial lending products available.

The process by which business owners make commercial financing decisions is broken.
